Modern German cars share parts and systems across several manufacturers. The electronic systems are generally designed and constructed by Bosch in Germany, the braking systems are manufactured by Brembo in Italy, and many of the suspension components are manufactured by Lemforder in Germany. The History
Mercedes was founded in 1902 by Gottlieb Daimler. Mercedes-Benz is owned by the German brand Daimler AG and is synonymous with perfection, luxury and incredible engineering know-how. The 3-pointed star logo is known throughout the world and is a status symbol of prestige and elegance. In 1951, Mercedes-Benz first developed the safety cage with crumple zones in the front and rear, an innovative addition in car construction and safety. In 2018, Mercedes-Benz was the largest seller luxury vehicles worldwide with 2.31 million car sales. The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL (W198) shown, was the fastest production car of the 1950s.
